Attending to a getaway altering blip, Dario and Chuck returned to Nevada City mid-trip. This gave Marvina a chance to spend some time with Dario. The two boys hiked from home to and around Lost Mine Lake and biked a loop from home (Pasquale, Red Dog, NID canal, Gracie, Banner). They also biked the American River bike path from Folsom to Old Town Sacramento (trolley back to Folsom).
The return to Nevada City from north of Shasta included a break in the drive to bicycle the bike paths of Chico and the restart of the getaway included a break in the drive to Lake Almanor to bicycle a bike trail in Oroville.
